Now work offline on Google Docs, spreadsheet and slides

Google always do things to make the competitors fall behind. Google has recently released a feature where google user’s can work offline in a particular google docs files.




We  can not be sure about internet connection, so google has released this feature on 2nd May 2016 to stop the hindrance in work due to connectivity. Now user does not need to download drive and install in their computer to work offline. They can enable the offline services for a particular google docs file.

Google has enabled this feature for all users but for google apps for work employees, admin needs to enable the “Allow users to enable offline docs” for the users available in the domain. A set of google docs files will be available offline for user and  getting synced with google.

Enable offline service foe google docs




Once this  feature in enabled in your domain, If you are working in your desktop with chrome, you can go to specific google docs home page and enable the offline service for particular document.

To enable the offline service for a google document,  user will have to toggle on overflow option present beside the document and then click on “Available offline ” .

Pin Offline

Now user can work anytime anywhere in this particular document without accessing the internet.

So get updated with google and enjoy working offline with google drive  🙂

Note: This feature is available only for users working on desktop chrome after enabling this feature by their domain admins.
