Transcript:

Hello Guys, Welcome back to my tutorials on Google apps.in this tutorial i will tell you how you can manage security on Google apps. So there is a module named security, you can click here there are some options there are some sub options under each options listed here. I will take you through every setting. at first i will take you through basic setting. Here you can see SSL. here you can either enable SSL or disable SSL according to your needs, but it is always advise to enable SSL because it will ensure to enforce extra secure layer around your accounts. When you enable SSL, basically in the browser you can see here “https” so secure ‘s’ comes along with http and your browsing can be more secure. Then in password management module you can set minimum and maximum length of the password. Which users can give while creating their accounts. Here in Google apps you will be creating the accounts so when you give minimum length of 8 characters and you are creating a user password with 7 character, it will pop-up an error so this is to set minimum and maximum length. Now you can also monitor the password here you can see all the users are listed, there password length and password strength are also listed. So from here you can monitor all users and their respective password length and strength. According to that you can advise user to change their password when it is necessary. In API reference, Google has various product and services so to enable those services and products we needs APIs. API generally give access to those products and services so if you enable the API access here then only the API will be able to authenticate and give you the access to those particular services. So I will go deep in this section whenever we see about APIs and what they are and how to access them through certain services for now you can just note down, we have to enable API Access. We will go other sections in the next tutorials.
